Stress is major contributing factor to the six leading causes of death in the United States: cancer, coronary heart disease, accidental injuries, respiratory disorders, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide.
Most of us stress but when done frequently it can cause the body to be in a heightened state of stress most of the time, that can lead to serious health problems. Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body, which leads to suppressed immunity, digestive and reproductive problems, increased aging, and a greater risk of heart attack and stroke. It can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems.
No Longer Stressing
A couple of years ago I decided that I will no longer stress. That was such a huge downfall in my life. Everything caused me to spiral out of control. I even stressed on situations that weren’t part of my life. So, I decided that I would no longer let anything or anyone place stress in my life. Things that the have done are of their own faults, decisions, and mistake. I cannot fix someone else’s life even if it was an unexpected event. I have accepted my faults, my decisions good or bad; and I’ve learnt to work with each and every one of those to make positive results from them.
I believe we are all here for a purpose. We cannot live for someone else’s purpose. What that means? Do not let someone else fulfill his or her purpose through you. There will come a point in everyone lives when you realizes that you matter and you have your life to live for. Live life for your purpose because we only have one chance at it.
